In the aftermath of the catastrophic Brumadinho tailings dam failure and its global impact, The University of Queensland, in collaboration with management and governance of the short- and long-term risks from tailings almost 30 research institutions around the globe, is convening a series of workshops to establish a Global Research Consortium on Tailings.
The fourth workshop will be held in association with the Tailings and Mine Waste 2019 Conference in Vancouver, after the Sunday Short Courses. This workshop is particularly focused on engaging North American mining company representatives and researchers with an interest in tailings management. [More Info]
